Provost's Awards to Volunteers 2010
Each year, councillors are asked to nominate two individuals from their Ward who they feel are deserving of recognition for their services to the community over a long period as volunteers for one or several local groups. This is a very difficult choice to be faced with as there are so many good works carried out by very many individuals in every community.
However, this year Councillor Stephen Smith put forward Betty Forrester and Mary Bratton for their involvement over the years with so many local groups too numerous to mention here but which include, of course, Cruden Parish Church.
Betty and Mary were presented with their certificates by Provost Bill Howatson at an awards ceremony in Woodhill House in June.
